The Cursed Ones finally have their answer: to break the curse, they must kill the one who cast it: Orini, the former protégé of the skeletal wizard Bartley. With their names listed among the dead and no home to return to, they prepare to travel to Chimmercross via teleportation and confront their destiny.
But outside the tower, hooves thunder. A death squad rides to ensure the truth is buried along with the cursed souls who dared to chase it. The window is closing. The next move could be their last.
